December 13, 2010 – This Holiday Season, the attorneys and administrative personnel took it upon themselves to raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse. The firm raised more than $1,500 through employee donations as a result of holding a number of “dress-down” days in the office. Harris Beach has been actively involved in community organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse through fundraising and volunteer activities.
“This is a wonderful way for our firm to celebrate its heritage of giving to the communities in which it serves,” said David M. Capriotti and Lee E. Woodard, co-managing partners of the Harris Beach Syracuse office. “The Boys & Girls Clubs do a tremendous job for our youth in this community, and we wanted them to benefit from the proceeds raised through our donation. We thank our clients and friends for contributing to the Boys & Girls Clubs.”
Founded in 1856, Harris Beach and its affiliates provide a full range of legal and professional services for clients across New York state as well as nationally. Harris Beach has approximately 200 lawyers and is one of the country’s Top 250 law firms as ranked by the National Law Journal. The firm has offices throughout New York State from Albany to Buffalo, and from Syracuse to New York City and Long Island.
Duane Kinnon, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs said, “Harris Beach is a great friend of the Clubs and we appreciate their efforts to raise needed funds.” The Clubs are always grateful to see local companies like Harris Beach putting forth an extra effort to support Central New York’s youth, and it could not have come at a better time than during the middle of the Holiday Season, and the end of the fiscal year. This donation will help the Clubs to meet our mission to inspire and enable all young people in the Syracuse area, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
