September 10, 2015 – Company Effort Helps Kids Most in Need as School Resumes this Week.

Nearly 300 Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse members will be provided with drawstring backpacks filled with school supplies at four club locations today and tomorrow. The backpacks were assembled and donated by Time Warner Cable Business Class employees, who will be on hand to help distribute the materials to children enrolled in the after school program.

“We are deeply appreciative of Time Warner Cable’s generous donation, which will help relieve some of the financial pressures on parents of our Club kids and equip them with tools they need to start their academic year on the right foot,” said Derrick Dorsey, executive director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse. “It’s encouraging to have local companies like Time Warner Cable take a vested interest in our efforts to provide quality after school youth development programs and academic support for club members.”

“Time Warner Cable is a proud community partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs across the U.S. so we are particularly pleased our employees are committed to the children of Syracuse to ensure they start the school year off prepared and outfitted with critical supplies,” said Time Warner Cable Community Investment Manager Stephanie Salanger.
